Introduction

This specification provides instructions for consistently determining circuit parameters: number, color,

subsystem, description, and abbreviated circuit description for vehicle wiring. This specification describes the

processes for requesting new circuits and obsolesce/deleting unused circuits. Its usage is across vehicle

platforms for similar electrical devices and functions. The intended audience includes, but is not limited to,

platform system/design engineers, wiring release engineers, and harness suppliers.

Note: Nothing in this standard supercedes applicable laws and regulations.

Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take

precedence.

1.1 Purpose/Material Description. The purpose of the GMW Circuit List is to develop and maintain a corporate

owned circuit list that meets the requirements for global vehicle wiring per GMW1 5626.

1.2 Symbols. Not applicable.

1.3 Applicability. This standard applies to all GM vehicles.
