1.1 Purpose/Material Description. This specification defines the basic physical, chemical and performance

requirements of purge solvents for solventborne paint materials. These include primers, basecoats, and clearcoats

(1 -component (1 K) or 2-component (2K)).

1.1.1 Material Identification. Materials approved to these specifications are not compliant with regulations for

hazardous air pollutants (HAP).

1.2 Symbols. Not applicable.

1.3 Applicability. Materials approved under this specification are used to flush and clean the interiors of the paint

lines.
