Purpose/Material Description.

This specification describes low emission, heat stabilized, ultraviolet (UV) stabilized polyoxymethylene (acetal) copolymer which is used in injected form for molded interior components.

Symbols.

The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is POM.

Applicability.

Typical applications include molded in color parts located within the refreshable air space of the vehicle interior.

Remarks.

The following types apply to this specification:

• C2 - medium low melt flow

• C4 - high melt flow
